Genome Hackers was created in 2017 and is run by graduate students at the University of Washington in the Genome Sciences department. We are funded through the National Center for Women in Information Technologies and are excited to bring more of a biological aspect to teaching students who identify as female, genderqueer, or non-binary how to code.
Check out our recent poster on the motivation and outcomes of Genome Hackers! This was presented at the 2019 Teaching & Learning Symposium.
